Rajiim ("Raj") was born in Bronx, NY in 1971 to Rodney and Barbara Gross. Rajiim is the oldest of 3 children. Rajiim was a U.S. Air Force "Brat" for many years and lived in the United States and Abroad. While in high school and college Rajiim studied Communication Arts and Theatrical Arts. Rajiim wanted to become an actor from an early age but became a Radio DJ first. His first on air gig was at KVIK FM before and after school at Vanden High School in Fairfield, Ca his freshman year of high school.
In 1990 - 1992 Rajiim worked as a board operator, part time air talent at WGTZ FM, (Z-93) the number one station in Dayton,Oh at the time and as a mobile and Club DJ.
Rajiim married in 1992, Joined the US Air Force where he started as a Supply Specialist, then became Computer Analyst and continued his work as on air talent at WROX FM (96x) in Norfolk, Virginia. He made guest appearances on air at various radio stations and nightclubs while active duty. He now had 2 children and was a single parent in the US Air Force. He divorced and left the US Air Force in 2000 due to hardships and medical problems and went back to radio for a few years. In 2003 married Kelly T. Smith. Kelly encouraged Rajiim to pursue his passion in acting and he has. Together Rajiim and Kelly have a blended family with 4 children (Cathy, Garrett, Rajiim II and Jordan) and several grandchildren. Rajiim has done voiceover commercial work for radio stations and personal clients.
In a very short time he has worked with several prominent actors who have shared their experience and advice with him that he has put to use. His first professional acting role was as an uncredited Federal Agent in the 2017 film Reprisal where he met Actor Frank Grillo. Frank gave Rajiim some valuable information that he has applied to his acting career and it's paying off.
Rajiim has built an international reputation as an actor and director. Rajiim is a member of the Southern Ohio Filmmakers Association, Cincinnati Production Meet Up, a Supporter of Film Cincinnati, a supporter of Cindependent Film Festival and is quickly building a great reputation throughout the film community.
He continues to reach for the sky and bring his friends, family and associates along for the ride!
