Born from the golden age of slashers, the Friday the 13th franchise has given us over three decades of summer camp scares, vengeful Voorhees vendettas, and, let’s face it, some questionable fashion choices. It’s a franchise that’s seen Jason go from a mere campfire legend to an unstoppable force of nature, taking on everyone from telekinetic teens to, well, space marines. And while some entries might have you saying, “They camped it up too much,” others will have you locking your doors and avoiding lakes for the foreseeable future.

Yesterday, Lionsgate unveiled a poster for the new Saw movie – which happens to be the tenth installment in the franchise, so it’s following in the footsteps of Jason X and Fast X to go by the title Saw X. Now they have released an image from the film that confirms Billy the puppet is going to be featured in the film! They initially wanted fans to “play a game” to be able to access the image, but if you just want to see it, you can find it at the bottom of this article.

Saw X is set to reach theatres on September 29th.

The new Saw movie happens to be the tenth installment in that franchise, so it’s following in the footsteps of Jason X and Fast X to go by the title Saw X. This one has been set to reach theatres on October 27th, living up to the saying from the franchise’s heyday, “If it’s Halloween, it must be Saw” – but today, it has been announced that Lionsgate has decided to push the release date forward one month, to September 29th. The Halloween celebrations are starting early this year!

The copyright lawsuit between original Friday the 13th producer/director Sean S. Cunningham and screenwriter Victor Miller brought a stop to any further content being added to the Friday the 13th video game that came from IllFonic and Gun Media and was released in 2017 – which is a shame, because I love that game and have spent hundreds of hours playing it. To me, that was the perfect video game to go with the Friday the 13th franchise. The sci-fi adventure horror film The Devil Conspiracy will be getting a theatrical release on over 1000 screens in the United States on January 13th, and with that date just a month and a half away we have gotten our hands on the film’s trailer. Check it out in the embed above!

The theatrical release for The Devil Conspiracy is being handled by Third Day Productions. Samuel Goldwyn Films holds the North American digital rights to the film and will be giving it a digital release sometime later in 2023.

A brand new horror convention on the scene, the first-ever “Silver Scream Con” is set to debut this weekend (August 26th–August 28th) just north of Boston, Massachusetts.

The inaugural “Silver Scream Con”, curated by Spencer Charnas, front man of the band Ice Nine Kills, brings together horror celebrities Skeet Ulrich, Kane Hodder, Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), Nick Castle (Halloween), Bill Moseley, Danielle Harris, Tom Arnold, Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), and more for a three-day convention along with a Saturday night concert — headlined by Ice Nine Kills and featuring horror-rap duo Twiztid and Ari Lehman’s metal band First Jason.
