Sad to see a great series, which had a revival with Lance et Compte, Nouvelle Generation (New Generation), going down very bad with its sequel La Reconquête (the Comeback).
Its story evolves mainly with Danny Bouchard, with whom in the precedent series, was in limbo with his agent, former hockey superstar Pierre Lambert, for money matters. This time, he must choose between the future family life with his expecting girlfriend (Veronique Bannon) or the razor edge life of a sexy and manipulative mistress (Julie DuPage, who steals the show during the whole series). What happens on this relationship may shock, but that's about it...
The rest: Pierre Lambert must reconcile his family with his new girlfriend (Maxim Roy) as well as trying a comeback to aid his former failing team, the Quebec Nationals. Marc Gagnon (Marc Messier) must support his former team captain to get over a separation, as well as reconquer his old flame, Suzie Lambert (Marina Orsini) back. Finally, there's a wind of a hockey strike floating as an arrogant hockey players'representative tries to buy out the players to go on strike on the exploitative owners...
For the rest, a dull series, very deceiving. And they still want a sequel...
My apologies to Rejean Tremblay, whom he did his best...
