'Stepdad' is a solid drama, which is both well acted and with a touching, yet disturbing story. It does play like a TV movie but it's still a credible effort and the story based on true events, comes across completely fine. I'm sure this type of abuse and deprivation in GB is rife and just like this film, reflects a very sinister undertone.
