Being one of the baby boomers mentioned in redryan's review, I do remember this short-lived series when it aired. Despite its capable cast, "Blondie" didn't seem to fit as neatly into the turbulent Sixties as it did in previous decades. But what really sticks in my memory (unfortunately) is that theme song. For some unknown reason, both the melody and lyrics--sung by someone who sounds like they just got off the train from Hooterville--have burrowed into my memory banks, popping up at sudden intervals over the last fifty-something years, setting teeth on edge and sudden spikes in blood pressure. It's the musical equivalent of chalk scraping a blackboard.
