VTC (2021– )
7/10
Moody, 5 short episodes, worth a look.

An interesting mini-series shot entirely at night in the streets of Paris, often in the rain. Reminiscent of Taxi Driver in style, it's the story of amphetamine addicted Nora who lives in her car, taking passengers at night to raise enough money to buy an apartment so she can have joint custody of her little girl. Her brother Ben inadvertently involves her as a mule for a drug lord, and that's when things get far more dramatic.

Average 18min per episode, beautifully filmed with a consistent mood, great background music and well acted by the Iranian French lead.

It's not perfect, some of the scenes linger and contribute little despite the short run-time, and the plot stretches credibility at times, but it held my attention for the 5 episodes and the script was good enough to generate enough empathy for Nora, despite her shortcomings. Recommended.
