It isn't a bad film, for the most part is it a fun watch (even if it does play very "safe). I wish this film took things a little bit more serious, like friendship and growing up. If this was taken along the lines of "Stand by me," I think it would had been a lot better. They should had focus on the kids' relationship with each other, the hardships, and the realities of growing up.
Instead we get a fun but (once again) very safe movie. Basically, bad guys wants to get rid of recess, kids have to work together to stop him. They already did this story in one of the regular episodes (or something very similar).
Anyways, it is basically a very nice looking 90 minute version of something you will see on the show.
