4/10
Laughably bad, and a huge misfire.

Who, after watching the final cut of this film, said "that's perfect, let's go to market"? This was so terribly incohesive, incoherent, and convoluted beyond recognition of anyone having attended Film School Class 101.

There is no cohesive flow in the sub-plots and back stories, nor do many make an sense, or for that matter, really needed. This felt like a bunch of different screenplays shredded, then randomly pieced together to create this nonsense. Then adding all these wannabe biblical phrases, just added more cringe and annoyances to what follows each one.

This entire film needed major editing and scene cuts, as those would've gone a long way. The normally comfortable 94 min runtime felt much longer with all the convoluted sub-plots. The pacing was just as bad and even more noticeable with all the long dragged out and mostly unnecessary scenes.

The premise of the story was actually smart and intriguing, but director Felipe Mucci chose convoluted style over any coherent substance. The casting and performances were actually decent, but not good enough to overshadow the poor writing and directing. The trailer looks inviting, but that's as good as it gets.
