Better Than Most

Slippery Slope is at its heart a feminist sex comedy. As we know there aren't so many of these out there. The film still feels fresh fifteen years after its original release. It has moments of hilarity and also can be thought provoking. The ensemble cast are all proven actors, especially Laila Robbins (Eye In The sky, Gabriel's Fire & Homeland) and Kelly Hutchinson (Dead To Me, Catch Me If You Can). The bits where the lead character used barbie dolls to block out how she'll shoot her next sex scene are very memorable. Ultimately, this is a film about the sacrifices and compromises we make in pursuit of our dreams. It resonates because the issues it explores are funny and very real.
