People have compared this unfavourably with Braquo on the grounds that B. R. I. Is unbelievable and poorly acted. Well, perhaps they saw a different Braquo from the one that I did. The events in the earlier series are far less credible than this one. The acting in both was on a par with each other.
I have to say that seeing the beauteous Rabah Naît Oufella as the mixed-up Badri was something to look forward to each episode. But there were some themes that weren't developed such as the "is he or isn't he" about Julien and whether Socrate was hiding something too. It looked for a while as if Julien and Rayan might get it on and it seemed to me that Julien's anger with him was partly because he'd fallen for him.
Obviously there were plot holes as there usually are in this sort of series. I didn't mind as there was enough going on to divert attention elsewhere.
There were a couple of loose ends in the final episode but no real cliff hangers so I'm not sure there'll be a further season. I certainly wouldn't mind if there were to be one.
