Controversial at the time, in that one scene allegedly featured a (very briefly) full-frontal nude Gary Cooper, but this is most likely hearsay and no such scene, appears in surviving prints.
Assuming its copyright has not lapsed already, this film and all others produced in 1929 enter the U.S. public domain in 2025.
The singing voice of Gary Cooper was provided by Russ Columbo who also appeared in the cast as a supporting player, reportedly as a result of his romance at the time with the film's leading lady Lupe Velez, who later turned her affections to Cooper.
