Earlier in her career Louise Beavers had been the personal maid and assistant to Paramount star Leatrice Joy, who originated the role of Lydia Thorne in the 1922 version of this film.
Clara Bow was originally slated to play the lead, but due to her personal problems at the time, Paramount replaced her with Claudette Colbert.
A nitrate print of the film survives in the UCLA Film and Television Archives.
