One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since; its earliest documented telecast took place in St. Louis Monday 27 June 1960 on KMOX (Channel 4); it first aired in New York City Monday 22 August 1960 on the Movie Museum series of the Late, Late Show on WCBS (Channel 2) and in Los Angeles Friday 26 August 1960 on KNXT (Channel 2).
