After putting his son to bed, Tony meets his wife in the hallway and the camera starts to pull back - but someone or something brushes against the curtain to the right of the entrance to the hallway causing it to move noticeably.
Although the majority of the movie is a prolonged flashback set in the early 1930s, absolutely everything (with the exception of a few vintage cars) - hairstyles, wardrobe, music and decor, is strictly contemporary 1946, without the slightest attempt at accuracy.
In the daytime at the murder scene by the beach, supposedly near New York City, a ridge of mountains is visible in the distance. There are no such mountains anywhere near New York City.
