Ariel Lin (Lin Yi Chen) was born 29 October 1982. She is an actress and singer from Asia, who won Best Leading Actress in a Television Series at the 43rd Golden Bell Awards. She majored in Korean and Literature at National Chengchi University, Taiwan.

Lin was first discovered in a Taiwanese variety show “Guess Guess Guess” and was the champion of the pretty subway girl contest in the show. She was paired with Mike He in the television drama series Love Contract. After starring in several television roles in Taiwanese dramas and two films during the early 2000s, she rose to fame in 2005 for her role as Yuan Xiangqin in “It Started With a Kiss”. “Your Name Engraved Herein,” the first gay movie from Taiwan since the territory last year legalized homosexual marriage, will enjoy a private screening at Berlin’s European Film Market this week, before having its world premiere at the Osaka Asian Film Festival next month. Presented at the Berlin market by sales agent Flash Forward Entertainment, the film’s trailer can be seen here for the first time.

The executive producer and screenwriter is Chu Yu-Ning, one of Taiwan’s most best-known TV producers. Chu was previously creator of drama series “It Started with a Kiss,” “In Time with You,” and “Back to the Good Times,” and has launched the careers of several of Taiwan’s leading actors.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a more beloved mother/daughter duo than Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher, who tragically passed away within a day of each other this week: Fisher at the age of 60 on December 27, Reynolds at 84 on the 28th. Previously, Logo put together a two-day marathon of Reynolds-centric fare (starting today and including her entire Will & Grace run), while HBO has fast-tracked Bright Lights, a docu about Reynolds and daughter Carrie Fisher, to premiere this Sunday.

Reynolds passed away on Dec. 28, after suffering a stroke in the wake of Fisher’s own death the day prior.

Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds had one of the most envied mother-daughter relationships in Hollywood.

Their quirky and magnetic bond was well documented over the years, proving that despite any differences, their deep love for one another carried their relationship until the very end.
