After the end of the fourth season the show changed networks, going from NBC to CBS. The actors playing the original Baxters were let go and replaced by younger ones (who would work for less money) and appeal to a younger audience that advertisers would prefer. To explain their departure, they were said to have gone to the Middle East, but exactly where isn't clear. They were supposed to go to Saudi Arabia, but when Hazel gets a phone call, they are in Bagdad. (Did no one realize that's not in Saudi Arabia?)
