On their bus tour of Italy, Don and Prudence travel north from Rome to Arezzo, then Florence, then west to Pisa before spending the night on the shore of the Mediterranean. They would then naturally continue north to Lago Maggiore, their ultimate destination. Instead, they travel more than halfway back to Rome to visit Orvieto before continuing on to Lago Maggiore. Clearly these stops were rearranged in editing, since during their visit to Orvieto their relationship becomes much more meaningful.
The opening credits read "introducing Suzanne Pleshette". That is actually incorrect. She was the female lead 4 years earlier as Sergeant Pearson in the 1958 movie the Geisha Boy with Jerry Lewis.
When Al Hirt says to his girlfriend "Come on, Miss Hot Lips of 1962" his mouth appears to say "1961". An understandable change from the year of filming to the year of release.
