Ralph Helfer, the trainer and owner of Zamba (a.k.a. Fluffy), doubled for Tony Randall in the scenes where he and the lion were together.
Shirley Jones bonded with Zamba (a.k.a. Fluffy). She would play the guitar for him and he would lay his head in her lap.
In the opening scene when the police arrived at the mansion, the interior set appears to be the same one used for the The Sound of Music (1965) mansion of the Von Trapp family.
