Some of the sets were recycled for Lost in Space (1965) that was being filmed around about the same time.
The title song, "Way . . . Way Out", is performed by Jerry Lewis' son's band, Gary Lewis & The Playboys.
One of the rare Jerry Lewis movies from the 1960s that was not directed by himself or Frank Tashlin (Boeing, Boeing (1965) being one of the other exceptions up until 1966).
The film takes place in 1989.
