The club setting, the band, and the club patrons are all nods to the swinging 60's music scene. Even Jerry's playing with his hairstyle is a broad wink at the 'mop top' look popularized by the Beatles a few years earlier.
Still wonderful attention to background detail, even as cartoons were moving to the TV medium.
