Mark Wahlberg hasn't had a movie in theaters in a couple of years, but he's about to stage a comeback with "Arthur the King." Hailing from Lionsgate, the true story-inspired movie centers on adventure racer Michael Light and a street dog that he befriends during a crucial moment in his life. So, can this man and his dog tale help bring Wahlberg some glory at the box office? Even though that success may be relatively understated, it's looking very much like that could be the case.
The audience-friendly flick hits theaters next weekend, where it will be opening against "The American Society of Magical Negroes" (which figures to have a muted debut). Kristen Stewart's "Love Lies Bleeding" is also expanding into more theaters, although it also figures to have a somewhat limited footprint. This is to say, "Arthur the King" will probably do the best of the weekend's newcomers,...

San Francisco, April 27 (Ians) In an effort to protect users from cyberattacks, Google has blocked the notorious CryptBot malware, which the company claims have stolen data from hundreds of thousands of Chrome browser users in the past year.
According to the company, CryptBot is a type of malware often referred to as an ‘infostealer’ because it is designed to identify and steal sensitive information from victims’ computers such as authentication credentials, social media account logins, cryptocurrency wallets, and more.
CryptBot then sends the stolen data to be harvested and eventually sold to bad actors to use in data breach campaigns.
Moreover, Google stated that the malware was spread through maliciously modified apps such as Google Chrome and Google Earth Pro. The malware has infected approximately 6,70,000 computers this past year and targeted users of Google Chrome to steal their data.

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 22
“People who experience setbacks in life are called villains.”
There’s no clear roadmap on how to become a hero and there are endless paths that lead to the same goal. My Hero Academia features a diverse cast of heroes with eclectic backstories and motivations, but it’s a series that always celebrates teamwork, celebration, and how people are strongest when they work together rather than isolate themselves. Some of My Hero Academia’s most powerful moments are battle climaxes where two characters deliver the finishing blow in tandem. There’s no victory in My Hero Academia that’s not stronger when shared with a friend. Deku continues to head down a dark and dangerous path, but “Friend” is an emotional installment that attempts to remind the hero about what’s important before it’s too late.

Thanks to TikTok, songs released decades ago can emerge into mainstream popularity with ease, often quite unexpectedly. All it usually takes is a viral trend, or the creation of a sped-up version that draws more attention than the original. From there, it becomes a game of capturing the moment. But The Weeknd, whose 2016 single “Die For You” experienced a sudden resurgence over the last year and a half, is working smarter, not harder.
The Weeknd first bolstered the song’s newfound success with an unreleased music video to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Starboy.

When I was a kid, I remember hearing about the Disney Vault. Every once in a while, movies and shows would be brought in and out of this vault, apparently for special occasions. But this was very much a marketing tool to drum up the popularity of classic productions from The Walt Disney Company. There wasn't a literal vault where these things were kept ... right?
Well, in a way, there actually is a "Disney Vault." The Walt Disney Archives is an initiative that was started by Roy O. Disney in 1970 in order to collect and preserve the legacy of the company started by his brother. Over 50 years later, this archive (largely due to the groundwork laid by original Disney archivist Dave Smith) has assembled integral pieces of history from the House of Mouse's existence like props, costumes, and documents and ensures that they're kept safe and intact for future generations to enjoy.

It was truly a tale of two halves. But if the first half represented the worst of times for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, the second half was the best of times. They stormed back from a 24-14 halftime deficit, outscoring the Eagles 24-11 as Mahomes caught fire.
Mahomes recovered from what looked like a game-ending injury at the end of the first half to become his regular superstar self. He carved up the Eagles, helped by some big plays from his team and a defense that suddenly figured out how to somewhat contain Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
KIcker Harrison Butker ended it with a chip-shot field goal from 27 to provide margin of victory.
Mahomes finished 21 of 27 in passing for 182 yards and 3 touchdowns. He added 44 yards on the ground, winning the Super Bowl Mvp award and certifying himself as one of the NFL’s greatest.

As news emerges that Netflix is planning to reboot the Teletubbies this November, narrated by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s Tituss Burgess, there have been mixed reactions. Some are pleased to see this ’90s favourite of kids’ TV – which has attained cult status over the years – returning once again, while others still find the show too creepy and psychedelic.
Regardless of how you feel about this children’s TV classic, the Teletubbies have certainly provided us with some weird moments over the years. Let’s activate our antennae and take a look at our tummy screens as we relive these surreal Teletubbies appearances “again, again!”

How ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Creator Went Full Geek: ‘The Whole Show Is Made of Easter Eggs!’
There have been nearly a dozen Star Trek TV shows over the past half century. But none of them, in this lifelong Trekkie’s opinion, have explored the universe quite so boldly or nearly so enchantingly as the original 1966-69 NBC series, no matter how cheesy its plywood sets and Styrofoam space boulders now seem.
The thrilling whoosh of the Enterprise as it zipped past blurry, out-of-focus planets in the opening credits. The giddy joy of watching Captain James T. Kirk swagger through the cosmos, bagging alien babes in tin-foil bikinis and outwitting evil brain creatures glowing and throbbing in what looked like a delicatessen dairy case. And who could forget that spine-tingling moment in season three’s “The Changling” episode, when Mr. Spock helped save the ship by mind-melding with a super-intelligent espresso maker?
I certainly can’t, but then I need a life.

ESPN confirmed Wednesday that it has signed longtime Fox broadcasters Joe Buck and Troy Aikman to multi-year deals, securing their roles as the new voices of the network’s Monday Night Football. Riz Ahmed received his first Oscar nomination last year for his leading role as a drummer losing his hearing in “Sound of Metal.” This year he’s already back with his second nomination, but it’s not for acting. He’s in the running for Best Live Action Short for “The Long Goodbye,” which he co-wrote, produced, and stars in. Random Media has acquired worldwide rights to The Kybalion, a faith-based documentary featuring appearances by Paula Roberts, Daniel Ryan, Bryan Contnoir, and Raymond Moody.
The film directed by Ronni Thomas (AMC’s The Broken and the Bad) and hosted by occult historian Mitch Horowitz is set in 1908, examining an occult manuscript that would mystify those interested in metaphysics and the unseen world.
The Kybalion, penned by a mysterious author known as Three Initiates, presented seven principles of ancient Hermetic philosophy. My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 16
“Let’s enjoy this momentary peace…”
It’s not easy to strike a healthy balance between fun and work, yet this is something that’s important for not just the prospective heroes to properly master in My Hero Academia, but also the series itself. My Hero Academia season 5 crafts a complex narrative where it begins to tease multiple story threads at the same time, but sometimes struggles with how to give them all appropriate attention. “Long Time No See, Selkie” definitely comes across as more fun and games than the doom and gloom mentality that’s beginning to take over the Endeavor Hero Agency, but the episode finds an equilibrium where it attempts to give the audience everything. This turns “Long Time No See, Selkie” into a refreshing adventure with some impressive fight sequences, but also an episode...

In a scam that might be reminiscent of a modern-day “Paper Moon,” Tatum O’Neal’s verified Twitter account has been hacked by a scammer who shills PlayStation 5 Video Game consoles.
The actor and writer came of age onscreen in movies such as 1974’s con-artist tale “Paper Moon”, “The Bad News Bears” (1976) and “Little Darlings” (1980). O’Neal has also written two best-selling memoirs — 2004’s “A Paper Life” and 2011’s “Found: A Daughter’s Journey Home” — chronicling her career and her tempestous life with her father and her ex-husband, John McEnroe.
The hacked O’Neal account’s PS5 scam has been happening for awhile, though it’s impossible to say how long, because the hacker (or hackers) actively deletes the tweets daily. O’Neal’s most recent actual tweet appears to be from May 30, when she tweeted at her daughter, Emily McEnroe. Before that, O’Neal’s timeline was mostly links to her Instagram,...

Most people want to be more productive, but even the most fastidious of us can get sidetracked when using productivity apps, thanks to never-ending smartphone notifications (you’ve got mail! Likes! Tweets!) That’s why some of the best productivity planners come in paper form: they can help us manage our time, check off our to-do lists, and reflect on our wins (and mistakes) so that we can be more effective in the future.

Star Trek: Discovery season 2 will introduce a number of classic characters into the mix. Those taking the spotlight are Ethan Peck’s young (bearded!) Spock and Inhumans star Anson Mount’s Captain Christopher Pike. However, let’s not forget that Rebecca Romijn – most well known as the original Mystique in the X-Men movies – is also joining the ensemble cast as Pike’s right-hand woman from the U.S.S. Enterprise, Number One.
Trek fans will know that Number One initially appeared in The Original Series‘ pilot “The Cage,” where she was played by Majell Barrett, who happened to be the wife of creator Gene Roddenberry. While speaking with Et, Romijn admitted that she didn’t know the importance of the character in that way but still leaped at the chance to play someone who would already be iconic to followers of the franchise.

Charlton Heston fans will appreciate the fact that one of his few major films not to be released on home video has finally made it to DVD through MGM. "Number One" (released in certain countries under the title "Pro") is an off-beat vehicle for the superstar, who was then at his peak of popularity. The fact that the movie under-performed at the box-office and failed to score with critics didn't diminish Heston's status as a leading man. He would go on to star in such hits as "The Omega Man", "Skyjacked", "Soylent Green" "Earthquake", "Midway"and "Airport '75"- with cameos in the popular "The Three Musketeers" and "The Four Musketeers". The poor response to "Number One" doesn't diminish its many merits - and the fact that Heston was willing to play against type in a largely unsympathetic role. Sure, we have all seen our share of an “Unstable Mabel” in cinema throughout the years. Some, more than others, do stand out in craziness, chaos and curiosity. These furious females in film–at least the ones that we will spotlight in this particular movie column–have something to their off-kilter filter that dares to dig deep on so many psychological levels of frivolity and fury.
In Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned: Top 10 Damaged Divas in the Movies we will examine some of the warped women on the big screen that have a sense of demented diva-like dimensions to their cockeyed characterizations. These mistresses of misbehaving all demonstrate various kinds of detachment and dysfunction that capture our puzzling imaginations. Are there perhaps even stronger and more memorable bombastic she-beasts that have a certain score to settle against their detractors or society as a whole? Of course. However, the...

The Wasteland:
Television is a gold goose that lays scrambled eggs;
and it is futile and probably fatal to beat it for not laying caviar.
Lee Loevinger
When people argue over the quality of television programming, both sides — it’s addictive crap v. underappreciated populist art — seem to forget one of the essentials about commercial TV. By definition, it is not a public service. It is not commercial TV’s job to enlighten, inform, educate, elevate, inspire, or offer insight. Frankly, it’s not even commercial TV’s job to entertain. Bottom line: its purpose is simply to deliver as many sets of eyes to advertisers as possible. As it happens, it tends to do this by offering various forms of entertainment, and occasionally by offering content that does enlighten, inform, etc., but a cynic would make the point that if TV could do the same job televising fish aimlessly swimming around an aquarium,...

The film-maker's 'memoir' is a self-serving collection of polemics and platitudes
Michael Moore, the film-maker, author, stage-act and baseball-cap-wearing global brand, is an awkward mixture of ideologue and sentimentalist. When not chasing laughs, he lurches back and forth between righteous polemic and hokey platitude, as though he can't make up his mind whether he wants to change the world or get it to love him.
In his films, the combination can often make for queasy viewing. In Bowling for Columbine, for example, he ambushed an ailing Charlton Heston, then president of the National Rifle Association, and attacked him for promoting gun ownership. It was a tense scene, and perhaps Moore was to be congratulated for not swallowing his argument in deference to an old and celebrated actor. Yet on leaving Heston's house, he left a photograph of a young girl who had been killed in a shooting and walked off...
