This TV show was GREAT!!!
Okay, I am really reaching on this one, cause I was just a little tot the last time I saw this weekly variety show. If I remember correctly, there were some VERY funny weekly skits that were performed by Bill Cosby and others.
My favorite Cosby skit was a non-talking skit where Cosby was dressed in an overcoat and hat and played a real cool, non-talking dude who would come across unusual / funny things or people every week. Instead of saying something cool, he'd express himself by sticking both his hands up and wiggling them in a certain manner (ya had to see it). There was also cool music playing.
Another skit was done with Cosby (as himself) talking to a couple of prehistoric mythical puppets. The main puppet was called The Great Pavozz, and the background was volcanic. He'd always speak out of the side of his mouth and say things like "It's gonna cost ya".
Foster Brooks was also a weekly character who played the best drunk I've ever seen. You'd swear he was going to vomit at any moment.
Lola Falana was the show's main dancer. She was beautiful and amazing.
That's all I got on this. Please write something if you can remember more.

A very good and funny show
I miss this Bill Cosby show. Everyone loved Lola Falana as she came out, danced, and introduced Mr. Cosby. My favorite line in the show actually came from Peter Sellers who was portrayed with Bill Cosby's character with the white suite, white Stetson hat cocked to the side, space shades (slit- eyed sunglasses) and platform shoes. Sellers was trying to be hip as Bill and instead of saying "right on", he put up his fist and he said "right arm". I still say it today. (Also, Bill's character had a certain 'cool' walk and then he would hesitate and wiggle his fingers, and then continue walking. There was also cool music in the background when he walked. Neat!) This show was very popular, but short lived and I always wondered did J.E.Hoover have anything to do with that. It's good that Mr. Cosby continued on until he was able to get a show that is popular and lasting.
This show was hilarious.

Most Memorable
What I remember most about this show is that at the end of introducing the cast at the beginning of the show, with the other dancers in the background, Lola's last line was: "and me, I'm Lola Falana". Then, in a split second, she seamlessly joined the other dancers (without turning around to see what the other dancers were doing) - like she had eyes in the back of her head. The dance number was usually something spectacular, fast, high-kick. Lola was always impeccably dressed, usually in a costume including a dance leotard, and absolutely dazzled. It's disheartening to hear that she's suffering from MS; a cruel fate for such a talented dancer. I can only offer my sincerest well wishes.
