A sequence from THE GHOST BREAKERS (1940) where Paulette Goddard is being pursued by Noble Johnson as a zombie - was adapted and shown to represent a scene from an early "Norma Treat" film.
This was the TV movie pilot for the series, which premiered December 1972. Some prints, including the 2011 DVD release, changed the opening title from "The Female Instinct" to the series title "The Snoop Sisters."
The Silvercup Bakery building in Queens, New York, which is seen prominently in the climactic car chase, is now Silvercup Studios, where shows such as "The Sopranos" and "Sex and the City" were filmed.
Both Mildred Natwick and Jill Clayburgh have played the role of Ethel in "Barefoot In The Park." Natwick originated the role in first Broadway production, and played her in the film version. Clayburgh played Ethel in a Broadway revival of the play in 2006.
