A "score" is 20 years, so "100 score" is 2,000 years... plus a month.
Damien Thorn (Sam Neill), now 32 years old, is in full knowledge of his power as the Antichrist. Head of Thorn Industries and the newly-appointed ambassador to Great Britain, Damien learns that an alignment of three stars in the constellation of Cassiopeia heralds the prophesied second coming of Christ on the Angel Isle (Great Britain), and he will go to any lengths to prevent it. Meanwhile, seven monks, led by Father DeCarlo (Rossano Brazzi), have come into ownership of the Megiddo knives, the only things on earth that can kill Damien. The question is whether good or evil will triumph in the battle that is about to begin.
Omen III: The Final Conflict is the third movie in The Omen series that started with The Omen (1976), which was based on an original screenplay by American screenwriter David Seltzer. The screenplay for The Final Conflict was written by British screenwriter Andrew Birkin, and it was novelized by Gordon McGill in 1980. Omen II, more properly titled Damien: Omen II (1978) was released in 1978. The fourth movie in the series, Omen IV: The Awakening (1991), was released in 1991.
Damien is now 32 years old. He was 12 in Damien: Omen II (1978), so 20 years have passed. It should be pointed out, however, that the timeline for Damien's life as given in Final Conflict does not correspond with dates from the previous movies. For example, the announcer on the World in Focus TV program states that Damien took over Thorn Industries in 1971 and, in the following seven years, turned it into a multinational corporation. Earlier in the movie, dialogue suggests that the current year is now 1981 or 1982, suggesting he was born around 1950 which is clearly contradictory to the time and setting in the original The Omen (1976) movie in which Damien was born in 1970 (as determined by the gravestone of his real mother), and turned 5 years old in 1975. This retroactive continuity was done so as to enable sequels depicting Damien's whole life could be made within a span of just five years.
It's said that there was supposed to be a visual effect involving a jackal's skull appearing over the reflection of the ambassador's face. Apparently, the effect didn't work well, so it wound up on the editing floor.
The Nazarenes were an early Jewish Christian sect in first-century Judaism. The first use of the term is found in the Acts of the Apostles of the New Testament, where Paul the Apostle is accused of being a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes before the Roman procurator Antonius Felix at Caesarea Maritima by Tertullus. At that time, the term simply designated followers of Jesus of Nazareth. As time passed, the term came to refer to a sect of Jewish Christians who continued to observe the Torah along with Noachide gentiles who were grafted into the covenant, in contrast to gentile Christians who eschewed Torah observance. They are described by Epiphanius of Salamis and are mentioned later by Jerome and Augustine of Hippo.
Yes. Cassiopeia is a constellation visible in the northern sky. It circles the Polestar Polaris and resembles an "M" when it first rises. As the night progresses, it swings counterclockwise around Polaris and, towards morning, it will resemble a "W".
That's a hard one to call. Whether or not Damien knew that the old wooden railing would collapse under Kate's (Lisa Harrow) weight, it doesn't appear that he pushed her into the water or forced her to lean on it. However, once Kate is in the river and struggling to get out because she can't swim, Damien can be seen standing on the shore, unmoved, as though waiting to see if she'll make it. As Kate gets closer to the shore and it looks like she's going to make it out of the water, only then does he extend his hand to her.
After all the baby boys born in the UK on 24 March have been killed, Damien realizes that the Nazarene still lives. Father DeCarlo informs Kate that her 12-year-old son son Peter (Barnaby Holm) has become an apostle of Damien and that Peter is with him right now. Kate goes to see Damien and, sure enough, Peter is with him. She offers to lead Damien to the Christ child if he will give Peter back to her. Damien agrees but only after she has taken him to the child. She takes him to a deserted abbey where Fr DeCarlo is waiting to stab him with the daggers. As DeCarlo jumps Damien, however, Damien pulls Peter close to him, and it is Peter who is stabbed in the back. Damien knocks down DeCarlo and goes looking for the Nazarene while Kate hugs her dead son. As Damien is calling to Him to come out, Kate sneaks up behind him and plunges one of the daggers into Damien's back. Suddenly, the sky is filled with a blinding white light, and a figure is seen in the sky. "Nazarene," says Damien, "you have won...nothing." Damien then falls to the ground and a postscript is shown stating: Behold the Lion of Judah! The Messiah, who came first as a child, but returns not as a child, but now as King of Kings, to rule in power and glory forever! In the final scene, DeCarlo carries Peter's body to Kate, while another postscript appears to state: "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away."
