Morgan Fairchild's character Racine was named after Jean-Baptiste Racine (1639-1699), a French dramatist, who was one of the three great playwrights of 17th-century France, along with Molière and Corneille, and an important literary figure in the Western tradition.
Racine is from Denton, Texas.
Grant Harper has three children in the show: Wesley, Blair, and Greg. Wesley is the son he had with his first wife, who died in a car accident. With Marjorie, Grant had two children: Blair is his second child, and Greg is his youngest. So Wesley is not a full sibling but a half brother to Blair and Greg.
