At the very end of the closing credits, a Texas Chainsaw Massacre logo appears briefly and the end title song is replaced by a loud chainsaw buzz noise.
Drive-in movie critic Joe Bob Briggs (John Bloom) is listed in the end credits as "Gonzo Moviegoer," but his scene was cut prior to the film's release. Briggs would later complain about the cut in his newspaper column, blaming it (with tongue firmly in cheek) on the Russian premier Mikhail Gorbachev.
