The name of the Romanian intelligence service Securitate is consistently pronounced to rhyme with English 'wait'. The correct Romanian pronunciation would have the "tate" bit pronounced so as to more or less rhyme with English "what", as well as the final "e" is also pronounced. Surely something that US embassy staffers in Bucharest would know.
The second episode shows the screen caption 'Tblisi, Russia'. Tblisi is not in Russia, but in Georgia - at the time one of the fifteen soviet socialist republics (SSRs) that constituted the Soviet Union. A more accurate screen caption would therefore be 'Tblisi, Georgian SSR' or 'Tblisi, Soviet Union'.
