There's nothing wrong with this pilot episode, there are worse TV shows around that have been allowed to stay on the air. It should have been given more of a chance.
It was made in a time when environmental awareness was at it's peak and it was all politically correct. Nothing wrong in that! Just a team of experts battling to save the EARTH and environment from the bad guys. A kinda 'greener' A Team. Action and fun!

You might not be aware, but some viewers (like me) were able to see all the episodes (not only the 3 ones aired by CBS) in polish national TV (TVP), as they aired all the episodes in the early 90's. The funniest part is that I found the ones skipped by CBS even better :) Anyway I heard series is a merge of Capitan Planet, Mission Impossible and A-Team (a plane instead of truck) series. I would definitely add MacGyver to the list due to brilliant and non-standard ideas made by nuclear physicist Dr. Carl Dana. The non-conventional ideas he made to save the tanker from hitting the rocks in "Oil Spill Story" episode or how he saved the forest from fire in the "They Shoot Trees, Don't They?" have remained in my memory despite I watch the series when I was an early teenager. Getting different characters and personalities into one team is not a new idea (so anybody can find own similarity), but with the environmental awareness, picturesque landscapes and few others factors the series became one of my favorites back then. I would definitely wish to see more than 5 episodes.
