Michael Moriarty remembered his exit from NBC’s Law & Order very differently from other accounts of Dick Wolf and other crew members. According to Moriarty, he rage-quit the series over then-Attorney General Janet Reno’s comments on the show’s violent content. However, Wolf later revealed that his firing did not have anything to do with Reno.

Moriarty claimed that NBC and Wolf tried to defame him by announcing that he was fired for misbehavior. He played Ben Stone for four seasons and 88 episodes before he quit the series in 1994. Law and Order was messier then fans expected during its fall finale. There's typically a twist as to who the real culprit of a given case is, but "Bad Apple" looked inward, and looked at narcotics officers who decided to take the law into their own hands. To make things even more complicated, Law and Order stalwart Jessica Brady (Maura Tierney) used to run with their unit.

The whole investigation came about after a cop was shot and killed in the line of duty. It was then determined another cop, one who has a history of corrupt behavior, was responsible, and peers have known about his behavior for years. Yes, unfortunately, Brady was one of these peers.

NBC’s 2025 midseason lineup includes the series premieres of Suits LA starring Heels‘ Stephen Amell, The Hunting Party with Manifest‘s Melissa Roxburgh, and Grosse Pointe Garden Society starring AnnaSophia Robb. The midseason schedule also includes a new season of The Voice with Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, Michael Bublé, and returning original coach Adam Levine.

The first season of Zachary Quinto’s Brilliant Minds picks up on January 6th, and Deal or No Deal Island season two kicks off on January 7th. January 2025 also marks the release of new episodes of The Irrational, Night Court, and St. Denis Medical, along with Law & Order, Svu, Found, Lopez vs. Lopez, and Happy’s Place.

NBC’s set a February 23, 2025 premiere date for the 10-part nature documentary series The Americas, narrated by Oscar winner Tom Hanks.

Law and Order: Svu aired its fall finale on Thursday. There was plenty that went down in the episode, and most of it revolved around Dominick Carisi (Peter Scanavino). The Assistant District Attorney and spouse of Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddick) was pulled into a harrowing situation involving hostages.

Legal dramas are going to be leading NBC’s winter lineup. The midseason schedule for the network is finally here, and it includes a premiere date for the highly anticipated “Suits” spinoff “Suits: L.A.” as well as the return of “Law & Order.”

All series will air on NBC and will be available to stream on Peacock a day after their premiere.

Looking ahead to this upcoming season, the network’s Monday night lineup will start with the return of Zachary Quinto’s “Brilliant Minds” on Jan. 6, 2025. Starting on Feb. 3, “The Voice” will then return with a new season. This time around, Adam Levine, Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend and Michael Bublé will serve as the season’s coaches. It will then be followed by the series premiere of “The Hunting Party.”

NBC has set its midseason schedule for new and returning series including the premiere of the anticipated extension of the Suits universe, Suits LA from Aaron Korsh, the return of St. Denis Medical and Reba McIntyre’s Happy’s Place, stalwarts One Chicago and Law & Order franchises, and a new season of The Voice with the return of longtime coach Adam Levine, among many more.

The series premiere of Suits LA is set for 9 pm Sunday, Feb. 23. It will be preceded by the two-hour series premiere of 10-part nature documentary The Americas, narrated by Tom Hanks with music by Oscar winner Hans Zimmer. The Americas moves to its regular time period on Sunday, March 2 at 8 pm. Suits LA will be followed at 10 pm by new series Grosse Pointe Garden Society from Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs.

Last week, CBS unveiled its midseason schedule, and now Fox has followed suit with a slate of news that’s bound to delight some fans and infuriate others.

First, the good news: Hell’s Kitchen will return on January 2, followed by the debut of Animal Control Season 3, and the series premiere of the new Denis Leary comedy Going Dutch.

The following day brings the return of Kitchen Nightmares, along with the series premiere of the new medical drama Doc.

We’ll have to wait until January 20 for more returning shows, as 9-1-1 Lone Star and Rescue: Hi-Surf both resume their seasons in their usual time slots.

For Lone Star, the return will be a short-lived one. Fox announced today that the series will come to an end on February 3.
