Bruce Campbell met his wife Ida Gearon in the set of this film. According to his auto-biography, Campbell approached her with the excuse of wanting to learn how to sew, which is what his character would do in the movie.
One of only three films distributed in the early nineties by the cult horror magazine Fangoria, the other two being Children of the Night and Severed Ties.

The film takes place in 2037.
The same dream pods that were used in this film were used in Roger Cormans remake of "Forbidden World" titled "Dead Space" (1991).
