This series is now over 15 years old, but I still chuckle at the antics of Black Jack, the parrot, and Teaburry. One never knew what the inventions would include, but they were always great. I think that the reason this show did not succeed was not the characters or the plots, but rather that it was a summer replacement show, and NBC kept changing not only the time it aired, but also the day. It would skip a week or two and then show up days after the episode before. I too would like to get copies of the entire show, as it was a classic. I think there were 3 of us who watched it. myself, an old friend and the other commenter. The viewer was always rooting for Black Jack when he left the property and had to make it back before the Hounds of Hell caught up with him.

I really loved this movie. It was fun, exciting, adventurous and silly at times but it's a great family show. I wish they would put it out on DVD. If the TV show would have kept Stoney Jackson i'm sure it would have been a success. He brought that character to life. His animation, antics and chemistry with the cast was incredible. The fun starts when the millionaire Teaberry must leave the country to avoid arrest and buys a very reasonable, very large house which he finds later is haunted by the pirate ghost Black Jack Savage. He doesn't believe in ghosts until Jack 'introduces' himself. The two of them must save lives so they do not wind up in hell for the deaths they've caused by their deeds or actions. A scientific genius friend of Teaberry who invents the most incredible things helps out both willingly and unwillingly. I would highly recommend this movie if it ever gets released on DVD. I personally copied it on VHS when the pilot played on TV. I'm a huge fan of Stoney Jackson and this is the movie all fans should see.
