Featured review
This fourth work of Tornatore, Especially on Sunday (La Domenica Specialmente), made in 1991, is a hit and miss collection of vignettes; four to be exact, that supposedly show us life in the Adriatic Sea area (the water between Italy and the Balken countries.
Three of these, the dog segment, the barber segment, and the perverted mother segment, are not really worth reviewing. However, the third segment, starring Bruno Ganz, as a driver who picks up a couple, is well worth your time. It is a shame the whole film was not based on these characters and story, but I have to rate the film as a whole, not just a segment of it. Worth viewing for this one piece.
In that segment Ganz gives a ride to two strangers, and much is revealed during the ride.
