In 1994, the 3rd season of the show featured a young contestant named Judd Winick (1970-). Winnick went on to become a notable writer for comic books and animation. As a comic book writer, his main claim to fame is resurrecting the long-dead character Robin/Jason Todd and revamping him into the anti-hero Red Hood.
After appearing in the Chicago season, contestant Tonya Cooley went on to get fully naked and have simulated sex in the Lost in Ecstasy episode of Season 1 of the Cinemax soft core porn series The Erotic Traveler (2007).
The show has been criticized for its lack of diversity when choosing contestants. Several press sources have noted that as of 2018, no Asian man had ever been chosen as a contestant. Several Asian women were included, but the press attributed this choice to their popular culture status as "exotic beauties".
