Robin accepted as long as he could work under a different identity, uncredited, and under heavy prosthetics so as not to land himself in hot water with Disney. Robin said he enjoyed having "a day off" from himself.
This film was released in the UK as "Fixing the Shadow", a reference made in the film with the Native American folk tale.
