Each episode of this show featured two "Droopy: Master Detective" shorts and one "Screwball Squirrel" short (based on Tex Avery's Screwball (or Screwy) Squirrel, which first appeared in Screwball Squirrel (1944)).
The last Saturday Morning cartoon to be premiered on Fox Kids before moving to cable channels (called Cartoon Network) prior to Ted Turner's buyout in 1991.
This was also the last Saturday morning cartoon produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and the final one to be premiered on a broadcast channel. One more series, Dumb and Dumber (1995) was premiered based on the live-action movie. Warner Bros. Animation continued to make its own H-B franchise content for shows such as What's New, Scooby-Doo? (2002) and Tom and Jerry Tales (2006) for Saturday mornings after William Hanna's death in 2001.
The first Hanna-Barbera series outside of Cartoon Network. Many Hanna-Barbera shows exclusively aired only on Cartoon Network, most notably Dexter's Laboratory (1996).
