Writer/director Damien Leone had a budget of around $55,000 to work with on his breakout horror film Terrifier, and a budget of “a little over” $250,000 for Terrifier 2, which was a massive hit when it was released in 2022, earning $15.1 million at the box office. Since the second film did so well, it’s no surprise that a Terrifier 3 is right around the corner. In fact, the film has wrapped production and is on track to reach theatres this Halloween season, on October 10, 2024. In anticipation of the film’s release, we’ve decided to put together a list of the information we’ve heard so far. Keep scrolling to find out Everything We Know About Terrifier 3!

Writer/director Damien Leone had a budget of around $55,000 to work with on his breakout horror film Terrifier, and a budget of “a little over” $250,000 for Terrifier 2, which was a massive hit when it was released last year, earning $15.1 million at the box office. Since the second film did so well, Terrifier 3 has a substantially higher budget. A “couple million” is going into this one, and we’re going to get the chance to see how that translates to the screen when the film receives a theatrical release on October 11th. Filming wrapped a while back, but our friends at Bloody Disgusting have just announced the names of several cast members: Jon Abrahams of Scary Movie, Antonella Rose of Fear the Walking Dead, Krsy Fox of Bury the Bride, and legendary character actor Clint Howard – whose many credits include The Wraith, 3 from Hell, Ice Cream Man, The Waterboy,...

Universal Pictures keeps on pumping out Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies and cartoons – in fact, another Jurassic World movie will be reaching theatres in 2025, and there are two seasons of the animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory dropping onto the Netflix streaming service this year. But while that’s all cool to have, one dinosaur series I wish had more installments is the Carnosaur franchise, which was produced by the late, great Roger Corman. The first Carnosaur (which was inspired by a novel written by Harry Adam Knight) was released in 1993 as a mockbuster alternative to Jurassic Park, and was followed by Carnosaur 2 in 1995 and Carnosaur 3: Primal Species in 1996. Sadly, while there were two spin-offs of sorts with Raptor in 2001 and The Eden Formula in 2006, we haven’t gotten an actual Carnosaur movie in almost thirty years, and no sort-of spin-offs in almost twenty years. While I...

Cody Kennedy and Tim Rutherford's "The Last Video Store" is more than a midnighter ode to mom-and-pop rental shops where countless cinefreaks found their calling. It's a meta-horror blast of nostalgia about how loving movies can be both a blessing and a curse. Kennedy and Rutherford told my Fantastic Fest audience their production is held together with duct tape and passion — which is unmistakably evident in both cases. "The Last Video Store" isn't the sharpest horror genre satire, nor the prettiest pumpkin in the patch, but there's a scrappiness to classic genre homages that makes this a treat for cult film lovers everywhere.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have endured in the pop culture consciousness for well over 30 years now, in no small part thanks to the '80s animated TV show and, perhaps more importantly, the wildly successful 1990 blockbuster live-action "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film. Directed by Steve Barron, that movie was truly the point of no return. The Turtles became superstars and, arguably, for a time, the most popular superheroes in North America. But things could have been quite different if an early pitch for a film adaptation had been received more warmly.
/Film's Ben Pearson recently spoke with "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" co-creator Kevin Eastman in honor of the home video release of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem." During the conversation, Eastman recalled a pitch from none other than B-movie maestro Roger Corman in the '80s for a low-budget movie featuring Donnie, Leo, Raph, and Mikey. The craziest part?...

Clint Howard – son of Rance, brother of Ron, uncle of Bryce, etc. – has been acting since he was a child, and over the decades has racked up over 250 credits, from Star Trek and The Andy Griffith Show to The Wraith, Carnosaur, Ticks, Little Nicky, Apollo 13, a couple Silent Night, Deadly Night sequels, Rob Zombie’s Halloween, 3 from Hell, and Solo: A Star Wars Story. You’ve almost certainly seen him around. His most recent credit was in the Nicolas Cage film The Old Way… and one of his most popular roles came in the 1995 horror comedy Ice Cream Man (watch it Here). Ice Cream Man has developed a strong cult following in the years since its release, and Howard is aiming to bring the audience more killer ice cream man action. He took to Instagram to reveal that he recently got some collaborators together for a reading of the Ice Cream Man sequel script!

This month’s installment of Deep Cuts Rising features a variety of horror movies. Some selections reflect a specific day or event in March, and others were chosen at random.
Regardless of how they came to be here, or what they’re about, these past movies can generally be considered overlooked, forgotten or unknown.
From dinosaurs to a killer clown, here are five hidden horror gems and deep cuts that you can check out in March 2023.
The Fantasist (1986)
Directed by Robin Hardy.
Despite her family’s mixed reaction to her decision, Moira Harris‘ sheltered but curious character moves to Dublin to be a teacher. I never understood why Jurassic Park was the only dinosaur-related franchise to outlive the dino hysteria of the 90s. Don’t get me wrong, Spielberg’s classic is clearly the best movie to come out of that trend, but that doesn’t change the fact that dinosaurs as a concept are in the public domain and should have been featured in countless other films.
Fortunately for fans of all things prehistoric, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods’s upcoming 65 (March 10th) promises a return to the Jurassic-Park-less thrills of completely original dinosaur movies. And with that in mind, we’ve come up with this list highlighting six of the best non-jp dinosaur thrillers for all your prehistoric media needs!
As usual, this list is purely based on personal opinion, but since this is Bloody Disgusting, we’ll be limiting entries to monster movies and thrillers. That means no Super Mario Bros...

Director David Gordon Green, who recently made a trilogy of Halloween sequels, is now working on a sequel to the 1973 classic The Exorcist (watch it Here) – with the hope being that this movie will be the first in a trilogy of Exorcist sequels. Green is planning to direct all three of them. We know that original Exorcist star Ellen Burstyn is reprising the role of Chris MacNeil in the film. We know that Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton) is playing a character who tracks down Chris MacNeil after his child becomes possessed. But we don’t know who their co-stars Lidya Jewett (Nightbooks), Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale), and newcomer Olivia Marcum are playing. So the latest bit of The Exorcist casting news comes with a bit of a surprise: it comes with minor character details! Deadline reports that Raphael Sbarge is in the cast, and he’s playing a pastor.

The latest product from The Asylum, Triassic Hunt is a sequel of sorts to Triassic World, which was another “escaped dinosaurs” movie from David Michael Platt’s mock buster shingle. However this time there are shades of another dino-franchise at work and one that may surprise you… Carnosaur. Yes that trilogy of dino-terror from the 90s, in particular the third film in the series, seems to have influenced Triassic Hunt – well, that and the “dinosaurs as weapons” plot from Jurassic World; with Michael Pare taking on the “evil villain” mantel from Vincent D’onfrio.

Adam Simon is hard to keep up with. He has the dizzying intellect and spellbinding rhetoric of a well caffeinated university professor.
The depth of Simon’s knowledge of the craft of horror filmmaking is far more indicative of his level of expertise than his filmography might lead you to believe.
Simon is best known for writing the 2009 film The Haunting in Connecticut, which was an unexpected success for a haunted house thriller. He is also known for his 1990’s B-movie classics Carnosaur and Brain Dead. With over 30 years of experience under his belt, Simon originally began in production and moved on to establish himself as a writer. He now makes his living writing horror for network television, a transition that has thus been very good to him.
One of last ‘graduates’ of the Roger Corman School of Film, Adam Simon has spent decades absorbing the ins and outs of creating a good film.

There was a time when Conan O'Brien had his dream job on The Tonight Show, but his luck, unfortunately, was fleeting. That pesky Jay Leno wanted to get back into the seat, so NBC axed the tall redhead. O'Brien's severance package earned him a healthy $30 million pay-out, but there was a catch -- he had to agree to stay off the television airwaves until the fall. But they said nothing about the big screen!
Deadline Hollywood reports that early talks have begun to turn Conan's 30-city tour, "The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour," into a documentary feature. Media Rights Capital is thinking about financing the project, and Rodman Flender is in talks to direct. Flender has been spent many years directing for the small screen, but he has also written Dracula Rising, acted in flicks like Carnosaur, and helmed Leprechaun 2.

And in other Right Wing, Empty Head news, "Family Guy" apparently made a rather cruel joke about Sarah Palin's retarded son on Sunday night's episode, so Sarah Palin did what any level-headed political figure would do and took to her Facebook. Naturally. (Celebitchy)
If you thought that Hugo Weaving, voice of "Megatron" in both of the Transformers films, would have bothered to actually watch either of those films, you'd be wrong. Can't say I blame the guy. (The Playlist)
Christina Hendricks is looking particularly voluptuous on this month cover of New York Magazine. As if there's any other way for her to look.

Did the post-apocalyptic, religiously themed multiplex-filler deliver you into appreciative satisfaction – or leave you doubting your faith in cinema?
Along comes the second post-apocalyptic tale to hit UK cinemas in the last month, and the critics have got this one pegged as the poor relation of John Hillcoat's The Road, which arrived first and is likely to stand the test of time rather better. Despite some excellent cinematography and a stylish, sepia-toned vision of America in the wake of nuclear devastation, The Book of Eli is hampered by faith-based sermonising and at least two ham-fisted final act twists, which most viewers will have spotted coming a mile off.
The Hughes brothers, of Menace II Society and From Hell fame, are in charge here, with Denzel Washington as Eli, a powerful desert warrior on a journey to the west coast with a not-so-mysterious tome in his possession. The landscape he...

I think Leigh Scott wants to be Roger Corman (the good one that did Poe, not the one that produced Carnosaur). With his new spin on The Dunwich Horror, he may well be on his way to small budget film greatness. Scott.s Dunwich Horror isn.t without a few bumps in the night, but I did find it an enjoyable ride. It is also great to see the return to Dunwich for Dean Stockwell. Yog-Sothoth be praised! The Whateley.s have always been an odd bunch. Zecheria (M. Steven Felty) is the patriarch of the clan and his daughter Lavina (Lauren Michele) is pregnant. The old man is silent on who the father is, but when tentacles spring forth and...
