Felicity Huffman was replaced after filming an unaired pilot. Her replacement, Diane Venora, lasted eight episodes before being replaced by Robin Riker, who played the role of Bobbi Turner for the majority of the series.
Producers named the characters Claudine and Jenny after the mothers of Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Zachary Ty Bryan, actors on Home Improvement, which they also produced.
