I loved watching this story of a newcomer to the EMT field and all the characters he meets along the way in a town with a large senior citizen population. We see his world through his relationships with his fellow driver, the police, the good and not-so-good folks in the medical field, and most importantly an elderly man sent to a senior citizen home against his will. My favorite character was The Jackal, played by David McCallum in a rare comedic turn. As usual, Mr. McCallum gives the role a real depth, as we see him weasel his way around the unsuspecting townies, but despite any hard-knocks ends up a lonesome survivor. This was a sweet movie, filled with excellent acting from newcomers and veterans alike.
