According to a new report from the folks over at Soapcentral, the Bold and The Beautiful crew is currently recasting a pretty popular main male character with former General Hospital Jasper "Jax" Jacks star Ingo Rademacher (above). He's being brought on to play character Thorne Forrester. Apparently, he was in the running against former Thorne actor Winsor Harmon. Winsor recently hopped on his official Twitter account to reveal that he had been replaced. He said that The Bold And The Beautiful executive producer/head writer Bradley Bell told him that they had decided to recast Thorne. This apparently didn't go over well with a lot of fans since Winsor had been playing the Thorne role since 1996. Winsor wrote, "Just spoke with Brad Bell and at this time he's decided to Recast Thorne. I wish the new actor and the show continued success." Rademacher talked to TVInsider.com about his Thorne...

Here at Et, we love an anniversary -- whether it’s the 20th anniversary of Scream or Clueless, 10 years in the life of The Hills or the magical time making No Doubt’s Magic Kingdom 20 years later. It's 10 years since Samuel L Jackson had enough of those muddyfunsting snakes on that Monday to Friday plane....
Can you remember where you were when you first heard the title Snakes On A Plane? Try and put yourself back in that mindset for a moment. It’s tough, sitting here in 2016, to remember how outrageous it seemed. After all, we live in a world where a movie called Sharknado not only exists, but has three sequels, the most recent of which even has a Star Wars joke for a subtitle (The 4th Awakens). Fan fantasy concepts like 'Batman vs Superman' have been turned into $250 million movies. I mean, there’s even a Grumpy Cat film. Nowadays, if something goes viral online, there’s a very good chance Hollywood will shell out for the movie rights.

Who's the best witch in all pop culture-dom?
That's a tough question to answer, since movies and TV have offered us all manner of witchy women. Some are good. Some are bad. Some are beautiful (but aren't so nice inside) and some look scary (but are still a lot of fun). In lieu of power ranking the various pop culture spellcasters, we've heralded their individual achievements with yearbook-style superlatives.
1. Most Improved: Mildred Hubble in The Worst Witch
Mildred (Fairuza Balk) is a witchy underdog. No one at Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches thinks much of Mildred's potential as master of the supernatural elements,...

Oh high school. It was a rough time for a lot of us. Maybe more memorable for some. While we’re passed those adolescent days now, we’re deep in Back to School days and getting more than a little nostalgic. That’s due in part to all the high school teen movies that still rattle around in our pop culture consciousness. Many of the characters in the movies shared the same embarrassments we did, the same first crushes, the same droning teachers, and we all wish we had a friend like Ferris Bueller.
So we asked the PopOptiq staff, which high school character from the movies were you? Share your own pop culture doppelgänger below!
Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy) from Scream
Randy Meeks and I have much in common. We are both massive horror movie fans who worked in a video store, studied film and had a hopeless crush on our best friend.

Sometimes, high school can be a virtual hell. Mileage varies by the individual, of course, but in a place where acceptance at a lunch table can be akin to finding an oasis in a desert, there's more weight on the shoulders of many teens than just their backpack straps. Such is the case for Ewen High School student Carrie White, the telekinetic titular character of Stephen King's seminal debut novel published in 1974.
Carrie has been adapted for the screen multiple times for multiple generations, and Scream Factory is giving the Generation Y versions a high-definition upgrade, with their Carrie and The Rage: Carrie 2 double feature Blu-ray now set to hit shelves with an official release date and bonus features, including two new audio commentaries.

Working with an alien on a movie is probably a little bit easier than working with a child actor.
At least with the alien you can literally pull its puppet strings. Kids require a slightly more magical touch.
That’s what Steven Spielberg learned while working on E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and a special documentary on the new Blu-ray release (out Oct. 9) shows just how deep his connection was with 6-year-old Drew Barrymore and 10-year-old Henry Thomas.
The E.T. Journals consist of behind-the-scenes footage from the 1982 movie, presented as-is, without narration or modern interviews. It’s like an extended set-visit to the film,...

Christina Milian was criminally left out of out Summer 2012 VH1 bikini awards, and we’re still not totally sure why that happened. Probably something as simple as not being seen out and about in a two-piece when we were putting the competition together. But we truly feel horrible, because she totally has what it takes to go head to head with Beyonce for the bikini crown! Just like Queen Bey, she’s a talented actress with a singer’s voice and the physique of a model. That’s why she kills it at all of those professions. There’s always next year, Christina!
Despite not tasting bikini royalty, Christina’s had a pretty sweet life. She’s appeared in movies like Ghosts Of Girlfriend’s Past and Pulse, and done turns in classic TV shows like Sister Sister, Clueless, Charmed, and Smallville. She even lived the dream by marrying fellow R&B star The-Dream!

They can sprint, swim, vault and spike, but can Olympians act?
The switch from gold medals to scripted TV guest appearances isn't uncommon for Olympians. After rising to the national celebrity status that comes with being a star at the Olympics, many athletes get offers for magazine covers, advertising deals and TV appearances and cameos.
Gymnast Kerri Strug took to "Touched By An Angel" and "Clueless," tennis player Serena Williams guest starred on "ER" and "Law and Order: Svu" and basketball legend Kobe Bryant acted in "Moesha" and "Sister, Sister."
From Nastia Liukin to Michael Jordan, here are clips of some of the most memorable Olympians' TV appearances:

Get this: Scream may soon be a TV series. I don't know what to say about that. I'm thrilled? I'm hyperventilating? I deserve this? Kind of. It's like how I feel about the new Tomb Raider video game -- the franchise is a delectable Werther's Original from my childhood, and unfortunately I'm smart enough to know it should stay that way. Because this world? The one we live in? Isn't good enough to protect the things we cared about when we were 13. This world wants to turn Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory into goblinesque Tim Burton pornography. It wants Richard Karn to tarnish Richard Dawson's Family Feud legacy. It wants Madonna to direct.
Fortunately, Scream has jaundiced only slightly since its three sequels slithered into being. Phew, honestly. But with a TV show potentially in the works, I'm very worried that we're on the cusp of Scream's final breath,...

Like Nine to Five, this week's candidate for Best Movie Ever is righteously ridiculous. It's sophisticated and bawdy as hell. In fact, it's a whole bunch of awesome dichotomies: wacky but meaningful, musical but conversational, broad but subversive, hilarious but concerned with very real taboos. And more than anything, it's fun, which is more than enough to qualify it for the finest film ever. It is the saucy superiority of Victor/Victoria, a movie that's so shockingly whimsical and warm, I'm willing to bet -- if you've seen it before -- you're lighting up just remembering your favorite moment or character. I know I am. And I'll save her for last.
Let's jump back to Paris in the '30s, contemplate the ferocious morality of Julie Andrews and her character's commitment to drag, and relive the gayest and feyest and flyest of '80s comedies. C'est magnifique!

After this week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries," I'm clamoring for an Originals-only spin-off. The family dynamic between Klaus and his siblings is so wonderful, I'd happily watch an hour-long family dinner every week. The CW won't be keeping "Remodeled" around for long anyway, right? Open real estate!
In all seriousness, "Bringing Out the Dead" was one of the series' most poignant and exciting episodes, striking that elusive balance between supernatural action and emotional character development. It introduced two new Original characters and provided a surprisingly touching swan song for a character we weren't entirely crazy about.
Most significantly, though, it marked a turning point for the core love triangle of the show, thanks to an unlikely voice of reason: Klaus. Cue up your DVRs, kids. Let's get into it.

9 is a grey and grim thrill ride packed full of kiddie morality lessons and creepy frightenings, as though Steven Spielberg had induced the Brothers Quay to create a summer blockbuster.
Preceded by an obnoxious ad campaign (with generic hard-rawk squeal on the soundtrack, and the promise that this is “not your little brother’s animated movie”), Shane Acker’s 9 comes to theaters with several strikes against. If you're a performer — even an established and regularly working actor — who has thought about making the transition into screenplay writing, don't expect to garner immediate respect, let alone enthusiasm, within the industry. "No one ever takes an actor seriously when they're writing," says Danny Strong, who broke through as a scenarist this year with HBO's Emmy-winning Recount. "It's like, 'Okay, that's cute — you go do whatever you're gonna go do.' I mean, it seems no one takes anyone seriously in Hollywood until something actually happens. And then everyone takes it seriously — very, very quickly." In a sense, however, actors are writers to begin with. Whenever they devise backstories or improvise on the life of a character during rehearsals, they are in essence collaborating with a playwright or screenwriter to flesh out a characterization. Some actors, like Strong, take the next step and begin writing their own scripts, sometimes...
