Jim Henson always comes out with a cute movie. there isn't one Muppet movie i don't like. Aloth this is Sesame Street, its still cute. I haven't seen this movie in a while, but basically Elmo has a wish from Sannta, and he wishes everyday was Chhristmas. Its great at first but then people start to get tired of Christmas, and Elmo has to figure out how to put things right. I liked this movie as a kid and it will always have a place in my heart. If your watching this as a kid, with your kids, or an adult reliving the awesomeness of childhood, you'll be sure to love this movie. final say... 8/10 PS Muppet Xmas carol is my fave Christmas movie of all time. u should check that out too.

Let's see, there is some good here...a cute reference to the old 'Wonderful Life' rumor surrounding the origin of Bert and Ernie's names, Kermit the Frog has a new newsflash, some classic Sesame Street characters and humor.
But theres a lot of things that make this special mediocre at best. It's a bit too long, Santa Clause is grumpy (and his beard looks more fake than some mall santas I've seen), Harvey Fierstein sings, Bert and Ernie don't even talk, and it's just not as good as the old Sesame Street Christmas Special. It just feels like fluff.

This movie is about appreciating Christmas. If you see it in a negative light, then the meaning went over your head. I love this movie and my kids love it too. The songs are fun and the lesson is that Christmas is special because it happens once a year and that having Christmas every day it would lose its meaning. It's not an "abomination" as other reviewers expressed.

This is NOT how a Christmas special is supposed to be portrayed. It's meant to show the beauty of the holidays, but with the Elmo-mania already happening during that time, It turned into a horrific dystopia; caused by a stubborn, immature, naughty 3-year old little brat! Every single holiday! Why teach kids to not have a single holiday every single day when that will never happen in reality?! A horrendous "unrealistic lesson" for too much of a good thing! Listen to some Wow Wow Wubbzy songs. They're the real lesson here!

Alright well I am 13 today and I got this movie around Christmas when I was 3 being elmo obsessed and I watched it every Christmas with my family. I love it. It is just so awesome. I used to love the songs and sing them all the time. Christmas is way better with Elmo. I loved the reindeer. I always thought that he was so cute. I also loved how elmo got the moobunny at the end. I thought that is was really funny and how one of the elves wore the mickey mouse ears because they wanted to go to Florida. And Grover with the Christmas trees and how after all of the tress are gone he uses a coat hanger and the sign. The same man kept coming back. I alo love the Easter Bunny with the eggs. Overall awesome Christmas movie.

Since this classic Sesame Street holiday special has celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, I feel that I should write a review for it. Back when it permeated on PBS and got released on VHS in '96, I remember recording it and watching it practically every day up until Christmas Day. This would also be the very first Sesame Street holiday special featuring everyone's favorite furry red monster..
After rescuing Santa Claus (Charles Durning) from being stuck in his chimney, Elmo gets three wishes. One of them he uses to have Christmas every day. With his new reindeer friend, Lightning, Elmo goes on a journey to actually see what Christmas every day was a great idea.
The late Dr. Maya Angelou, who has appeared on Sesame Street time and time again during the '90s, did a wonderful job narrating the story. Another celebrity I liked from the special was Harvey Fierstein as the Christmas/Easter bunny.
Elmo Saves Christmas teaches an important lesson on why you can't have Christmas every day. Watch it and you will find out why.

I saw this DVD when I was a toddler, but as I got older, I ended up hating it when I remembered. A holiday every single day, turning the world into a sick wasteland? UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

I saw this DVD when I was a child but now, I loath it to death! Elmo acted like a one year old, he's so stubborn in a bad way, you name it! This is most horrendous Christmas special I ever seen! You know this is not how Christmas (or Easter or the Fourth of July) is supposed to be like.

This special isn't as awesome as the Gift of Magi. It uses something so unrealistic to "un-teach kids" about christmas. Because they love Elmo so much, they'll behave worse if any more 2-years see this.
RIP Maya Angelou.

Sesame Street went WAY too far with Christmas! What's the point of teaching kids too much of a good thing if they're gonna show a famous special like this that's horrific, annoying, and totally unrealistic?! Hardly anyone enjoys things like that!!!!

😡That TV Show must pay the price for creating the most trippy and an abomination of a Christmas special!😡

What was Sesame Street thinking?! We don't have much christmas specials like this, but the Elmo-mania ruins everything! Watch the Aikatsu christmas episodes and the Wow Wow Wubbzy songs instead!
RIP Maya Angelou

😡Sesame Street took Christmas WAY too far back then! This special all about destroying a holiday out of temptation instead of saving it! What's the point of teaching kids of too much of a good thing if they're gonna make something horrific, annoying, and totally unrealistic instead?! Nobody would love something like that!😡
PS: 😔RIP, Maya Angelou. Your poetry has influenced us all.😔

Bad script, bad acting- the series is for people over 80+ or 0 year old babies without a high school diploma. Too bad that public funds are spent. Unworthy. Rest in Peace, Maya Angelou.
Those Elmo creators make the worst Christmas special ever! It's madness! I was as red as the lobster I'd eaten!
I felt a fool, and I was! As Machiavelli said, "The first method for eliminating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the people he has around him."
If this piece of crap is around much longer, every child on earth would love it forever! I must discredit this so no one would love it anymore!
Elmo wishes that every day is Christmas, wreaking havoc on the world. But why did they put Harvey Fierstein in a singing role? This guy has the worst voice I've ever heard!
