There’s a load of great content coming to Netflix in November, but just as is always the case, there are also a bunch of titles being removed from the streaming service at the same time. Next month, the platform is losing 53 movies and TV shows. There are some classics amongst them, too, unfortunately, so you might want to fit in a last minute rewatch before they vanish from Netflix’s library.
On the first day of November, four titles are being removed, including horror remake Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, children’s animated sequel Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil and Gerard Butler action movie Olympus Has Fallen. 2017 horror Death House is also leaving on the 4th, while drama Into the Forest departs Netflix on the 6th and Jamie Foxx vehicle Sleepless is among those disappearing the following day.
Here’s the full list of everything leaving in November:...

After diving into all the great Christmas-themed slashers and horror movies like Silent Night, Deadly Night, Santa's Slay, Christmas Evil, Saint Nick, and many others, it’s sometimes hard to believe there’s another great holiday to revel in just around the corner. There might not be as many films directly centered on ushering in the New Year, but there’s plenty to keep you entertained for a few days and nights.
I realize that not everyone smiles in glee like I do as teenagers get axed and knifed. Some folks just want some alternate choices in the face of all the countdowns and variety shows they’re bombarded with every year. The list I’ve put together includes not only slasher and horror flicks, but disaster, sci-fi, and action-oriented ones as well.

Mti Home Video will release Ivan Zuccon's (Colour from the Dark) Wrath of Crows. The release date is scheduled this summer. And, the film was developed from Gerardo Di Filippo's script. The story involves a hellish prison and several prisoners. These prisoners are each held for a reason, though. Tiffany Shepis (The Prometheus Project), Debbie Rochon (Santa Claws), Tara Cardinal, Domiziano Arcangeli and Suzi Lorraine star in this horror feature. Early reviews have been a mixed bag. Mike Thomas of Matchflick liked the film's acting: "Wrath of the Crows, albeit a very confusing title, is an intense morality play with very strong performances from the entire cast." Many of those in the cast are no strangers to horror. Meanwhile, Thomas T. Sueyres of Original Vid was unsurprised by the twists within the film: "Zuccon may pull the rug out from under the viewer once too often and one...

I wasn’t expecting much going in to this unknown Christmas themed slasher flick and I am truly thankful I wasn’t because this is perhaps one of the worst holiday slashers I have ever watched in my entire life! I tend to be fairly lenient on low budget films if I can find some redeeming quality in it but this is one of the rare times that I can’t find a single solitary good thing to say about this movie.

“They’re coming to Webster U, Barbara…..!”
The Living Dead are coming to Webster University!
The Evolution of the Zombie, a film series based around our unquenchable appetite for all things undead, kicks off this Wednesday with the 1932 Bela Lugosi classic White Zombie (considered the first zombie film)and runs through October 20th. John Russo, who penned Night Of The Living Dead, the seminal Zombie film way back in 1968, will be a guest at the fest and will host a writing workshop. This will be a fantastic opportunity for fans of the zombie genre to see several of their favorite flesh-eaters on the big screen and for film students to meet the man who help developed the rules by which all the living dead live (while dead)!
Tickets
Unless otherwise noted, admission is:
$6 for the general public
$5 for seniors, Webster alumni and students from other schools

We've been hearing about the Tiffany Shepis film She Wolf Rising for some time now. It was scheduled to be released back in 2010, but that didn't happen. Now we're foaming at the mouth with anticipation from a new extended trailer that was released on their Facebook page, check it out.
She Wolf Rising is written and directed by Marc Leland with Carl Burrows producing. The film stars Tiffany Shepis (Nightmare Man), Debbie Rochon (Santa Claws), Timothy Mandala (All My Children), Ruby Larocca (Zombie Babes), Tina Krause (Feeding Frenzy), and J. Edmund Fond.
She Wolf Rising is a comedic horror throwback to a Fright Nightstyle 80’s classic. It’s a fun ride that explores the dark side of underground filmmaking.
Film Synopsis:
Gina Sklar, the reigning queen of horror, portrayed by Tiffany Shepis, lures Jake Bubar (Tim Mandala) into the decadent world of illusions and myths.

I recently had the great opportunity to talk with writer/producer/director John A. Russo at Days of the Dead convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Russo is best known as co-writer of the groundbreaking film, Night of the Living Dead along with director George A. Romero.
His career has spanned 45 years in the entertainment industry. Some of his notable projects include co-writer of Return of the Living Dead, director of such films as Santa Claws, Heartstopper, and Midnight.
He has written3 books on filmmaking that are considered the bible by industry insiders such as Quentin Tarantino and Darren Lynn Bousman among others. Russo has also partnered up with fellow Notld alum Russ Striener to create one of the most highly regarded college courses on filmmaking there is.

John Russo is a legend in the horror community and one of the original minds behind the film Night of the Living Dead. Russo will be releasing a new CD soon entitled John Russo's Movie Music!!. which will have songs from some of his horror movies. There is also a special treat on the CD--three songs are sung by the man himself!

Horror Movie Icon Hinzman Dead At 75
Horror movie icon Bill Hinzman has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 75.
Hinzman was working as a cameraman on George Romero's 1968 horror classic Night of the Living Dead when the director cast him as a zombie in the film's opening scene.
The experience prompted him to sign up for more horror roles in films like Evil Ambitions, Santa Claws, Legion of the Night and Hungry Wives.
His last role came in 2011's River of Darkness.
He also directed gruesome hits FleshEater and The Majorettes, in which he starred, in the mid-1980s.
Hinzman, who was a regular hit at horror film conventions across America, died at his home in Pennsylvania on 5 February.

Truly a sad day for the world of horror & fans of the original "Night of the Living Dead". Yesterday, it was reported that Samuel William Hinzman passed away. He was the first zombie seen in the film & is often referred to as the "Cemetery Zombie". Hinzman is no stranger to the horror world; he had roles in not only the original Notld but in "Flesh Eater", "The Crazies", & "Santa Claws". Rip S. Actor, director, and cinematographer Bill Hinzman died of cancer on February 5th at the age of 75. Right-hand man to George Romero, Hinzman is recognizable for small roles in Night of the Living Dead, The Crazies, and Santa Claws, but it was his work behind the camera that made for the bulk of his career. Born in 1936, Bill is probably best recognized as the first zombie in Romero's seminal Night of the Living Dead. He stuck with Romero, playing small roles and working behind-the-scenes as a grip and assistant camera operator. His first official cinematographer credit came on Romero's The Crazies in 1973, and he continued on this path throughout his career. Sticking mainly with horror films, Hinzman...

He was the silver screen’s first zombie and now he’s dead for real. George Romero’s Night Of The Living Dead (1968) was not technically the first zombie movie, but it was the first to present the living dead in the way that we know and love. Bill Hinzman played what’s known as “The Graveyard Zombie”, the flesh-eating, slow-moving ghoul who attacks Barbara (Judith O’Dea) and her brother in the iconic film’s opening minutes. Hinzman was a staple on the horror movie convention circuit and would often dress up in ratty clothes and zombie makeup to pose with his many fans. I had the pleasure of interviewing Hinzman onstage at the Kitbuilders Monstrous Weekend convention here in St. Louis three years ago and at midnight, I screened a 16mm print of Night Of The Living Dead which he sat and watched with us. Bill Hinzman had...
