The show Baywatch has become a staple in pop culture and has received widespread popularity around the world. The series is known for its ensemble cast of actors, bright red swimsuits, running scenes, and ridiculous storylines. Though it was initially canceled after the first season, its syndicated run made it the most-watched TV show in the world.
The highlight of the series is its ensemble cast of actors who have become prominent stars now. From David Hasselhoff to Yasmine Bleeth, many actors had their breakthrough with Baywatch. They have gone on to do a diverse range of work since the end of the series in 2001.

Pamela Anderson is dressing up for Naked Gun.
The actor has signed on to star opposite Liam Neeson in Paramount Pictures’ untitled remake of Naked Gun, based on the crime spoof comedies that were released in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Akiva Schaffer is directing the comedy, which has a script by Dan Gregor, Doug Mand and Schaffer. The trio were behind the popular and Emmy-winning Disney+ movie Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.
The original movie, written and directed by Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams and David Zucker and based on their television series Police Squad! that lasted only six episodes, spoofed the tropes of police shows and films that had ingrained themselves into audience’s minds over the decades. It centered on an inept and clueless detective named Frank Drebin, played by Leslie Nielsen, who still somehow managed to solve the crime and save the day.

The official cause of death for David Gail, 58, the former “Port Charles” and “Beverly Hills, 90210” actor who died last month after being found unresponsive by emergency personnel, has been determined, reports Deadline via a statement released by the late actor’s mother, Mary Painter.
According to a toxicology report, Gail’s cause of death has been determined to be the result of “brain and heart complications following drug intoxication involving amphetamines, cocaine, ethanol and fentanyl,” the outlet reported on Friday. The causing condition was anoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (a brain injury due to lack of blood flow) following resuscitation from cardiopulmonary arrest due to drug intoxication.
Following reports of Gail’s death, TMZ, citing law enforcement, reported that the actor died of a possible drug overdose, with his death under investigation by police, pending toxicology testing. No foul play was suspected.

Returning to filmmaking after 2016 and “V.I.P. “, Lee Won-suk comes up with a completely different approach than both the aforementioned and its predecessor, “The Royal Tailor”. “Killing Romance” is a truly flamboyant comedy in a style that reminds of both of a fairy tale and Nobuhiko Obayashi's last works, also because it manages to “hide” a number of pointed comments about the entertainment industry under its impressive visuals and overall “silliness”. Let us take things from the beginning, though.

One sure-fire way to boost viewership? Add a major Marvel flick to your movie lineup. And that’s just what Disney+ did, with the streaming debut of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” pushing the service to the top of Whip Media’s weekly ranker of the most-streamed movies in the U.S., according to data based on followers of WhipMedia’s TV Time, its movie and TV show tracking app with more than 24 million global registered users.
“Wakanda Forever,” after hitting Disney+ on Feb. 1, bumped last week’s top movie, Netflix’s “You People,” down to second place. Its streaming debut came at a critical time for Disney+, too, with Disney reporting on Wednesday that its linchpin service lost 2.4 million customers in its December quarter.
It hasn’t been a red-hot start to 2023 for Disney+, with “Wakanda Forever” being the first Disney+ flick to top Whip Media’s ranker this year.

When Park Hoon-jung released a film about a young girl escaping an experimental facility with superpowers and taking revenge years later and ambitiously added a “Part 1” in the title, little did he or his fans know that there would be a time when his follow up to “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion” would be stuck in limbo with a strong possibility of not coming to fruition at all. However, the ceasing of all activities by Warner Bros. in Korea, the production house that Park called home for a couple features, merely delayed the release of the second part, as the prolific director soon found new patronage at Next Entertainment World, who immediately greenlit the sequel, making it the first product of their collaboration with the director.

Streaming platforms are increasingly gaining traction across the Middle East, prompting Arab TV production companies to start transitioning from churning out strictly local shows — many of which launched during Ramadan — to making bolder skeins, some with ambitions for international play.
After a slow start, the subscription video-on-demand market in the 13 leading Arabic territories is expected to rise from 8.61 million paying SVOD customers by the end of this year to 15 million by 2026, according to a recent study by London-based Digital TV Research.
Over the next five years, the study predicts that current market leader Netflix will increase subs from 3.4 million to 5.4 million, beating Amazon, which is still a small player in the region, and also beating fast-growing local platforms Shahid VIP, Starz Play Arabia and Osn, whose numbers are currently boosted by its content deal with Disney. Tradition is just an empty word in the world of gangsters, and the same could be said also for the world of film distribution. One might expect that a genre fare with an elite festival premiere should end up on the regular repertoire in movie theatres, regionally if not worldwide, but Park Hoon-jung’s “Night in Paradise” landed on Netflix instead earlier this year. We might blame it on the pandemic, but the fact is that the streaming services are expanding regardless of it.
As a screenwriter, Park is best known for his work with Kim Jee-won on the iconic serial killer flick “I Saw the Devil” (2010), but as a director, his most breakthrough work would be his second feature, “New World” (2013). Mumbai, Feb 19: Sumeet Vyas felt like he was acting in a play while shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar's upcoming web series, 1962: The War In The Hills. The reason, he explained, is because both Manjrekar and he come from a theatre background.
"I have always been a fan of Mahesh sir's work and had hoped to do a project with him one day. With 1962: The War In the Hills, I finally got that opportunity," Sumeet said.
"Since he too has a background in theatre like me, I almost felt like I was acting in a play. For me there is nothing better than working with a theatre personality because I feel I can relate to them in the best way," he added.
Sumeet essays a soldier in the C-Company battalion in the forthcoming war drama web series. His character is named Ramkumar Yadav.

Pamela Anderson has a simple explanation for her tendency to fall hard and fast. "I'm a romantic," she told The New York Times last May, a few months after her reported marriage to producer Jon Peters ended less than two weeks into happily ever after. "I think I'm an easy target. And I think people just live in fear. I don't know what all that was about, but I think fear really played a lot into it." The thrice-divorced star of Baywatch and V.I.P. also insisted she hadn't actually married the man, who's 22 years her senior. "It was just kind of a little moment," she said. "A moment that came and went, but there...

Evidently, there are many crime thrillers coming out of S. Korea, too many someone could even say. Occasionally though, there are some productions that still manage to stand out, and prove that the genre has still something to give. And who else to come up with such a film than Park Hoon-jung, whose credits include “I Saw the Devil” (scriptwriter) and “New World”, two films that are among the top entries in the category. “V.I.P.” continues in the same footsteps.

Park Hoon-jung gave us the screenplay for the modern-day classic “I Saw The Devil”, “The Unjust” and directed the brilliant “New World” and “The Tiger: An Old Hunter’s Tale”. After last year’s controversial serial-killer thriller “V.I.P.”, he is back with his latest directorial offering “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion”.
“The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion” is part of the Asian selection at Fantasia International Film Festival
The film confusingly begins right in the middle of a bloody massacre in a Facility. Professor Baek, who clearly is in charge of it all, is overseeing a mass killing of children inside the Facility while Mr. Choi, the suave, scary Handler for the establishment is on the tail of two children, a boy and a girl, who have managed to escape amidst all the violence. While Mr. Choi and his henchmen manage to capture the boy, the girl flees and ends up at the farm of Mr.

2017 saw a bit of a resurgence in Asian serial killer films. While South Korea gave us a mixed bag of films of the genre like “V.I.P.”, “Memoir of a Murderer” and “The Chase”, Japan remade the South Korean thriller “Confession of Murder” into “Memoirs of a Murderer” with disastrous results. But it was Chinese director Dong Yue’s solid debut effort “The Looming Storm” that managed to stand heads and shoulders over the rest. The noir film featured in competition at the Tokyo Film Festival and won Dong Yue the Best New Director award at the Asian Film Awards.
