Dieter Marcello had also another film about Detroit: "Albert Kahn - Modern Architect" Both of the films use scenes of the city as it grew with the advance of the car manufacturers. My interest in the film came when I found that some of the extras were the members of the Worker's Concept Theater, UAW Local 735, Ypsilanti MI. My Aunt Anna Samplo was one of the members of the local. They also put on a play called, "You Strike Flint". The persons who were extras for this movie were used in the strike scenes. Ana Samplo was the waitress in the scene where strike papers were being sent out. She walks behind the bar, where the actor is handing out packets of papers, then walks back to a chair where she sits down to eat a sandwich. I just felt that the UAW should have some credit listed here. They are listed in the credits. Loved the scenes of the Albert Kahn buildings.
