Completed and released theatrically in limited release in 1989. The film was finally released on video tape 2 years later in 1991.
During the opening credits, Rebecca is driving to a Bavarian castle in a convertible car, and on the passenger seat is the 1986 Penguin Classics edition of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Fall of the House of Usher and Other Writings" which includes the tale «The Masque of the Red Death». She stops to pick her camera and get a distant shot of the castle, and under the camera and a golden bow, lay a couple of posters for the rocker Snoop (later known as Snoop Dogg). «To snoop» is actually Rebecca's program, soon to be revealed to the viewer.
