The current restored versions of this film is about 20min shorter than the original VHS and theatrical release. The original beginning featured a more lengthy battle sequence where Battal Gazi is the last man standing in the battle against Antuan and his Black Knights- the Byzantine army. The sequence can be seen in the theatrical trailer which is available online. Furthermore there is a a more lengthy jailbreak sequence missing ( where the son of Battal and his compadres rescues prisoners) that is not available in the restored versions.
