Director Henri Pachard and his screenwriter Rick Marx fashioned a light and funny porn film (shot on film & shown theatrically) that plays like a real movie but with explicit sex. It's Old School -10 short sex scenes instead of today's format of half-hour-plus barely edited XXX content per scene.
Set in Manhattan in winter, it follows ordinary people, focusing on young women who respond to radio ads and apply to work at the title escort service run by Joey Silvera and Honey Wilder. Amusing incidents and fetishes add to the sexy fun.
Some of the highlights include beautiful blonde Danielle servicing a submissive congressman (George Payne) while Honey supervises; and an unusual scene of role-playing when customer Carol Cross (butch-styled) meets escort Cassandra Leigh (styled with mustache as effete boy) in a dive bar (rather than in a gay bar or lesbian bar) and they have sex in the men's room. Several threesomes deliver the sexual goods.
A nice touch is having the actors and their character names matched visually and in voice-over at the end. The escort service is actually named "Pussy Galore", as evidenced in a dozen verbal references to it, but apparently the name was changed to avoid litigation per infringing on the Ian Fleming character from "Goldfinger".
It's surprisingly not as dated after 40 years as one would expect, and demonstrates the difference between story-driven sex movies and the current product.
