- TriviaThis mockumentary was produced for airing on The Sci-Fi Channel as a promotional prelude to the release of The Blair Witch Project (1999). It was subsequently given a separate home video release. It was also included as a bonus feature on the special edition of "The Blair Witch Project" DVD.
- Goofs(at around 19 mins) In the history of the township of Blair, it is related that surveyors found the abandoned village of Blair in 1825 while surveying the area for a railroad. Although small railroads were built in 1826, the first commercial railroad was not built in the USA until 1828.

Narrator: In 1785, several children in the township of Blair, Maryland, accused Elly Kedward of witchcraft. She was found guilty and banished in the middle of winter. It was assumed she died from exposure. The following year, all of her accusers and half the town's children had vanished. Fearing a curse, the entire township fled as soon as the weather broke and vowed never to utter the name Elly Kedward again.

Featured review
Originally airing on the Sci-Fi Channel the week before the release of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT (1999), this fascinating look at the supposedly "true" legends of the Blair Witch, from the banishment of Elle Kedward, the drowning of little Eileen Treacle, and the massacre at Coffin Rock, to the 1941 murders committed by Rustin Parr, right up to the 1994 disappearances of Heather, Mike, and Josh, cleverly reels in viewers to this fictional mythology. Many who watched this later swore it was on The Learning Channel or Discovery, not Sci-Fi! In many respects, this short piece is far better than the actual feature film it was meant to promote.
