Legendary .

This game is legendary. This is the game that has been ripped off and parodied by hundreds of fighting games that followed it (SNK made a living from copying its formula for like, what 10 years ?).This is the game that had kids and foul mouthed teenagers crowding around arcade cabinets, admiring its champions and laughing at its novices. This is the game that spawned more playground rumours and urban legends than probably any other game ever. The legacy of this game is astounding .

The character designs do rely on cultural stereotypes (e.g :the only black character being a boxer )and there isn't much else to the game besides knocking dudes out , but if you are willing to over look these flaws you'll enjoy some great gameplay. You'll also grow to love character catchphrases such as 'HADOKEN' and 'TIGER UPPERCUT'!!!!!

Its a legendary game that should be checked out if some how you haven't come across it before.
