George Lucas collaborated with Dave Filoni to craft Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The beloved animated series fills the gap between the second and third installments of the prequel trilogy. It also introduced Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, who went on to become a fan-favorite and a major player in the overall lore of the galaxy far, far away.

During an interview, Filoni admitted that his plan for The Clone Wars was originally much different. Moreover, it was extremely serious and his take would have drastically changed the origin story of Ahsoka. However, Lucas interjected and made Filoni make some changes that averted a darker backstory for the character, and here is what Filoni had to say about the same.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars introduced us to some of the internal and external conflicts that have plagued the planet of Mandalore throughout its history, and now it looks like The Mandalorian season 3 will finally show us what Mandalore was like before it was totally destroyed by civil war.
In a season 3 sneak peek released on Sunday, we can see a ship flying toward a domed city that looks an awful lot like the Mandalorian city of Sundari from The Clone Wars. However, one major difference between Sundari and the city we see in the trailer is the lush greenery surrounding it.
By the time we visit Sundari in The Clone Wars, the surface of Mandalore has already been transformed from the vibrant green we see in the trailer to a desert-like wasteland after years of Mandalorian wars. After the death of the first Mandalorian Jedi, Tarre Vizsla, surviving members...

Dave Filoni has an encyclopedic knowledge of Star Wars lore, and could probably even give George Lucas a run for his money when it comes to trivia surrounding the most minute details of a galaxy far, far away. The 46 year-old is certainly living the dream as a lifelong fan of the franchise who was hand-picked for a job at Lucasfilm, before rapidly working his way up the ranks to become the architect behind the entire animated arm of the mythology.
Given his extensive experience living, breathing and working in the realm of Star Wars, it wasn’t surprising when Filoni became integral to the creation and development of The Mandalorian as one of Jon Favreau’s closest collaborators. After all, the second season of the Disney Plus show has roped in several characters from The Clone Wars and Rebels, tying the live-action and animated canon together in stunning fashion.

Argentine Academy Award winner Juan José Campanella (“The Secret in Their Eyes”) is planning “Outlaw,” a reboot of El Zorro, inspired by his take on the historical figure behind the legend, Joaquín Murrieta, the director announced at an online presentation of Viacom International Studios 2020-21 slate.
Part of his first-look deal with Viacom International Studios, “Outlaw” will be “told with much more realism,” he added.
Campanella also announced further details of drama-thriller series “Los Enviados,” which looks like the first title to go before the cameras from his first-look deal with Vis, announced last May.
Led by Pierluigi Gazzolo, president, Studios and Ott, ViacomCBS Networks International, Vis top executives also used the presentation to announce renewals and deliver an update on a swathe of new titles announced over the last few months.

The networks in Latin America’s biggest markets — Globo, Telefe and Televisa — are fighting back against long-term digital erosion.
Last year in Brazil, Globo delivered its best all-day performance in eight years, averaging 14 rating points, according to market research shingle the Wit. Argentine Telefe’s “Sandro” is a ratings phenomenon. But the big question is how long this rally can last.
Over 2015-17, Globo’s free-to-air daily reach grew 6%, says Silvio de Andreu, Globo drama head. One standout: 160-episode “The Edge of Desire,” from Brazil’s well-known scribe Gloria Perez (“The Clone”), which averaged a 48 million reach.
Bowing March 5, “Sandro,” about the Latin American music icon, hit 16.9 ratings points by episode six, becoming Argentina’s most-watched 2018 program so far.
Surprisingly, “Sandro” took little away from its free-to-air competition, notes producer Juan Parodi: “Netflix and Amazon viewers have come back to free TV,” he says.

The 2010 Teen Choice Awards nominees are out and leading the way with six nominations apiece are "Gossip Girl" and "Iron Man 2." "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" and "Glee" are right behind them with five nominations each.
Will "New Moon" sweep the Teen Choice Awards like it did the MTV Movie Awards? We think it might! "Glee" star Jane Lynch is nominated for TV Villain, which we had never really thought about -- she's too hilarious. Other TV Villains include Terri O'Quinn from "Lost" and Russell Hantz from "Survivor." That is by far the most interesting category.
The two-hour event airs Monday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. on Fox. Starting Monday, June 14, fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day at www.teenchoiceawards.com. Performers, presenters and additional nominees will be announced soon.

Usually we see animated cartoons as a separate entity from live-action movies, or else they spawn a major movie event or franchise. This would be the case with G.I. Joe, which opens this Friday, August 7 in theaters nationwide. However, there are a select number of memorable animated television series that were based on a live-action movie. Having broke the mold in that sense, we decided to come up with our list of the Top Ten Animated Series Based on a Movie. Each of these animated series garnered various levels of success and popularity from various eras on TV nostalgia.
