Based on the manga series written and drawn by Matsuri Akino. It ran for 10 volumes, it was published by Ohzora Publishing in Japan, and is licensed by Tokyopop in the USA and Canada. It spanned a sequel called "Pet Shop of Horrors: Tokyo" which was published by Asahi Sonorama in Japan and is also licensed by Tokyopop in the USA and Canada.
